My name is Wendy Hixon. I help people reconnect with the deeper wisdom already within them. My work is a blend of clinical expertise and spiritual groundedness, designed to help you step out of "fight or flight" and into a place of lasting peace.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a police detective, working in high-stress undercover roles. I witnessed firsthand how chronic stress and trauma affect the body, mind, and relationships. The nervous system is constantly activated in that world—vigilance becomes a burden that touches everyone.
That experience led me to seek stillness. Meditation became the doorway. Through mindful breath, I learned how to step into the parasympathetic state—the body’s natural home for rest. That journey awakened a calling: to help others find the peace I had discovered.
